Official: Russia’s 2020 coal output, exports seen at 2019 level
MOSCOW, Dec 17 (PRIME) -- Russia will keep 2020 coal production and exports at the level of 2019, Deputy Energy Minister Anatoly Yanovsky told reporters on the sidelines of a conference on Tuesday.
“I think it will be at the level of 2019, about 220 million tonnes,” he said referring to the amount of coal exports, adding that the production will also be at the same level in 2020 as in 2019.
The official also said he did not rule out growth of the two figures.
According to Energy Minister Alexander Novak, Russia is to produce 440 million tonnes and export 210 million tonnes of coal in 2019.
